HAN...i have an embarassing problem that i need help with
:yumyum: Mickey on a stick
I always use snap traps baited with peanut butter. They try to lick it all off an usually set off the trap. I heard some where ammonia will repel them. It's probably because cat piss has ammonia in it. Or take a five gallon bucket. Then poke a hole in each end of a beer can and string it across the top of the bucket. Smear peanut butter on the can and put a ramp up to it. The mice will jump on the can to get at the peanut butter and fall in the bucket but won't be able to jump out. Then you can do whatever you want with them, like find a friend with a large snake to feed. Or just fill the bucket half way with water so they drown.

first off glue Traps aren't that effective snice mice are virtually blind
"ultrasonic devices" don't really work
best way ive found is bacon or peanut butter in a mouse trap
the first night don't set the trap just
set the bacon on the trap (that's a freebee)
second night put more bacon or peanut butter on the trap (but this time set the trap)
works everytime:thumbup:
oh yea use fatty's part of the bacon

Ultrasonic things FTL for the most part.
Poison works if you place large amounts of it when mice would be entering your apartment. (especially during the fall right before freezing). Works best if you could put it outside of the entire building. Land lord should already being doing this...
Traps are really hit and miss, obviously. I've tried cheese, peanut butter, and bacon. The bastards get the bait without getting caught most of the time. Sticky traps seem to be the least affective for me.
Place steel wool around where pipes and stuff come into the apartment. Mice hate that stuff.
Rat terrier dog FTW if you aren't allergic to it.
I would avoid leaving any grains out in the kitchen and put all unsealed food in plastic containers or bags. Sounds extreme but it does help a lot. No food available = No mice for the most part.
Still you're kind of screwed because your in an apartment and you neighbors could be breeding the things. land lord should do something as stated earlier.

umm if you poison the rats, they'll just be lying around in ur apartment dead....not sure if you want that. i'd say use the trap ideas from the other guys and just throw them out or kill them and dispose of them
