I think I am buying a new camera again
yep
After much debate and consideration I do believe I am going to go back to film for a little while at least until I can afford a digital back (they run around $20k
h: ).
So anyways I think my xmas present to myself this year is going to be the Mamiya RZ67 Pro II.

This is going to take my photos to an entirely different place.

Why would that camera take your photography anywhere it wasn't already going?

We're photographers. It's not about the eqiupment... It's about the eye looking through the lens. You don't need that camera.

I am going to go check it out in a few but it comes with a 140mm lens a back and some accessories. Not sure on the full scoop right now but will in a bit.
Chef: You are right but the camera does have a certain amount of say in the matter as well. The problem I am running into right now using a 35mm based digi is the rendering of shadow and highlight details, you just can't get a fair amount of both in a single image. Being as I like contrasty images I am noticing some issues in these areas and it is stopping me from being able to make my particular vision in an image come to life...so yeah in some sense it will take me to another level on the technical side of things.

not to hijack, but ive been meaning to ask this. any suggestions on a good dslr?
ive wanted a rebel xt for a while now and im thinking of instead of just getting a simple sony camera, to wait and save some more money to buy one.

I'm just thinking to mess around w/ Photoshop more. I spend so much time saving prints from lame exposures from other photographers, that my skills have gotten better. Unless you're processing b&w, film could get costly.
Plus the time going back and forth from the lab.
