Default Ah yes, cell phone as wireless modem

Woo I love my unlimited data plan. I'm taking a train from DC to Philly today. I just set up my phone to work as a wireless modem. Amtrak has power outlets in the seats, so I can plug in my computer, and then the USB modem connection keeps the phone charged. It's only an EDGE connection but hey it works pretty decent. Ah yes, the wonders of modern technology.

I dunno I've never been on one either. But it's the quickest way to get from DC to Philly, so that's what I'm doing. Just sit back, relax, browse the web from my laptop and cell phone. Don't have to drive, don't have to deal with all the B.S. of flying, and it's only like 2 hours from Union Station in DC to 30th Street Station in Philly.

They're not really bumpy at all, or at least that I remember.

I'm not on the train yet, I wanted to get that all sorted before I got on the train so I could just start using it when the time comes. h:

The phone comes with a USB sync cable. It also connects as a modem using the same cable.

You can do Bluetooth as well but my computer doesn't have Bluetooth, and I didn't feel like going out to buy a Bluetooth USB dongle when the cable works fine.

Interesting, I'm trying to use the Treo the same way, but it requires some 3rd party software.
