Touareg. i could never spell it correctly
they used the diesel version. 5 Litre V10 750nm torque
the Boeing is 155 ton
they broke the world record for the heaviest thing pulled by a production car.
they added 4.3 tons of weight to the car so it has enough grip
they doubled the tire pressure to cope with the weight

These are what fedex uses to push MD-10/11s (that weigh up to 190k lbs) withhttp://www.fmctechnologies.com/uploa...0_brochure.pdf

260hp and 703ft*lbs or 300hp and 850ft*lbs.
edit: these will push a 747

Where are you guys getting your information?

Tugs are NOT assisted by the airplane, and DO NOT just steer it. You have that backwards, its actually the tug that pushes and the pilot that steers.
