The ship Event Horizon was lost by Jupitor and it had the ability to travel through space and time by tearing a hole in the universe and connecting it. The ship went on its own and discovered a world full of torture...basically Hell. The character played by Sam Neil travels there and becomes apart of that world and tries to take the rest of the crew there.

Thats a $.05 version of the story...enjoy

While I thought the first half of the movie was quite good, it really devolved into standard horror/hell/doom crap for the second half. A lot of potential, but I found it to be a let down.
