so why did you start smoking and how old were you?


didnt start smoking on a daily basis till earlier this year at 20y/o. before that i would ask a friend for a smoke once every blue moon, starting 3-4 years ago. tried my first cigeratte when i was 13-14. didnt like it then.

i started smoking on the regular cause at the time i had some major stress, and it seemed like a better option than drinking and was cheaper than getting stoned every night. :hsdunno: and it didnt help that i was working at my brother's store where i had free reign to whatever smokes i wanted. h:

 

Does smoking really help relieve stress?

 

for some...yes


i don't smoke now, at least not on a regular basis. But, i started around 15-16. Never liked it too much so i never got hook. Only smoke now when i'm way too drunk and needed to stay awake to drink more h:

 

it seems to calm me down some, but i think its all in my head. i went thru a time where i smoked pretty regularly for a few months, but i easily stopped. i now only smoke when at bars with friends.

I for one never smoked in my life, due to the sports I participate in

 

18 I'd go out and couldn't drink, so I just tried a cig. It gave me a little bit of a buzz and gave me something to do, so I'd smoke one every now and then. Now I just smoke a few when hanging out with friends.

 

when i first started i did give me a buzz. but that quickly faded.

 

it's amazing what kind of mental hold they have on a person

 

i still get a buzz off one cig. i love it. haha.

 

First time I was 13 or 14?

Didn't smoke on the regular until I was 16 and worked in a gas station. Main reason, I smoked the :bandito: and newports are harsh goin down. Almost like the cap to getting high. For years to come, I couldn't smoke at all with out a cig to finish it off.

I quit smoking weed around 5 months ago, I'm 22, and now I feel cig's are pointless. They don't relieve stress anymore, they just give me a headache occasionally.
