Hmm... that may be the case.
I'll bet they re-engineer the strap connection in the near future.

If the remote weighs as much as say... a regulation softball and people are "pitching" at a screen at 90+ mph.. that's a lot of force for such a weedy little cord.

personally I'd say these strings have enough tensile strength to hold itself together if the remote was properly.

any Wii owner knows that, if you're holding the remote, there's 0 tension on the strap. so there is 0% chance or reason of the strap breaking and hitting the tv, or window, or your mom in the face
