Default Just a warning to online shoppers...

Just wanted to give a little warning to anyone that is doing a lot of online shopping for this years holiday season.

Be aware of what you order as well as which online retailer you order from as well as carrier. I had a digital camera "stolen" when it was delivered via UPS. The box arrived empty with only the invoice and bubble wrap left inside. I'm guessing BB didn't really securely seal the oversized box (used clear plastic tape) and I don't know if anyone purposely went through the box, or it just happened to get smashed which caused it to open slightly and the DC fell out, or one driver saw what was in it and took it, I'm not sure.

Told the UPS driver that I refused the package (because it was empty) and that the driver is going to notify his supervisor. He even took the time to go look around in his truck to see if it didn't accidentally fall in the back or something.

I was fortunate enough to get a replacement, but I can't help to have this feeling that I got cheated.

Also, don't order from any site that doesn't have a digital certificate of privacy with 128-bit encryption (indicated by the small lock icon in the status bar).

That's nothing new. :dunno:

Nor anything you have any control over, so no need to really worry over something you cannot control.
