Glad your OK dude!!!

That's adrenaline for you. If something like that happens you get a HUGE dose of adrenaline and you can do amazing feats.

That's why I ALWAYS use ramps to do ANYTHING under my car. When I own my own house I am totally building a hole like oil change places.

I had the exact samething happen to me, thought it happend a little differently. We were working on my sisters car and my brother started jacking the car while i was under it. one of of the jackstands must of have shifted because when brought the car back down the jack stand fell and the car came down on my chest. Luckily im a tubby basterd and i walked away with nothing but a big bruise but yea i can definently feel ya on this one lol

Ramps are probably in my future. From what i read, the expensive steel ones are worth it.

Wow dude, that's a very sobering tale man. Glad to hear you weren't seriously hurt. Adrenaline is like spinich to Pop-eye though. You always hear stories of how a 120lb mother lifted half a car off her children crushed inside the car after an accident. Later on, she couldn't lift the bumper an inch even if she tried all day. Good advice though. You can never be too safe.

forgetting to use jackstands is one thing.. jacking up the car and setting it down on a stand WHILE SOMEONE IS UNDER THERE is another.. :eek3:

i'd have to kill someone if they started messing with the jack and stands while i was under the car.
