the story goes like this in twilight zone. if you push it someone you don't know or have any contact with will die but you will get $$$. at the end of the episode the dude pushes the button and he gets the $$$.
the kicker is now the button is going to be taken and given to someone else with the same choice...and that new person will be someone he doesn't know. basically which means he is in line to die next.
