just upgraded ftw!

 

open the properties for the ff shortcut (on your desktop i guess? ) and add /profilemanager to the end...

"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" /profilemanager

close the dialog and run FF from the new shortcut. youll see a Select profile dialog
create a new profile, change some settings, and open it again with the new profile.

if the settings stay, then some config files in your existing profile are corrupt. i can then tell you how to mive your bookmarks and saved passwords to the new profile

 

The new profile saves my preferences :hs:.

Extensions and Bookmarks are gone.


Copied over Bookmarks and Form Data.

 

profiles are saved here:

C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\Random.default

you can copy over the extensions folder, bookmarks files, key3.db/signons.txt for passwords
