He did it to himself so why would you feel bad for him?
I mean if he had just sat in the background and maybe played in producing or continued as a dancer or something more behind the scenes like he had been no one would have given two shits. Instead he jumps right up front promoting himself and making one bad move after another while in the spotlight the entire time.
