i.... dislike WMP.

100% cpu when changing songs? :dunno:

i'm 13 minutes into at 24 minute song, so i won't know for a bit.

as far as mem usage, right now it's at 17-18MB.

I liked this plugin with WMP that showed the lyrics. And I liked how WMP would show you what song was playing while in mini mode.
iTunes doesn't.

there are a few things i don't like about iTunes, but the flipping through album covers makes it worth it for now.. h:

i also like how the library lays out in that 2nd pic.

i hadn't tried that view in the second pic. i like it. the only problem is that the "get album artwork" feature has never worked for me. so i have to go out and find all my album art. that, and you really have to be organized because if you don't have proper tags, it spreads the songs out one by one

For playing on my comp nothing will ever replace Winamp. About the only thing I use iTunes for is loading my iPod since I am not a big fan of the Winamp plugin for it.

wmp is better at videos, itunes played them jerky where wmp played just fine.

yeah, i use wmp for video, but i just wish that player wasn't so convoluted and unintuitive.. microsoft has a bad habit of trying to cram too many useless features into their apps. and no, i hate that apple marketing shit.

i still have winamp, but i've always missed not having the nice cover art to look at. and so far i like the organization in the iTunes library.

you can use this to try and grab some cover art directly from apple: http://www.thejosher.net/iTunes/

sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

as for proper tags, well, that makes sense. i want my shit to match anyway.

tonight i rip some more CDs.. i love flipping through the album covers. i'm a sucker for [useful] pretty gimmicks.
