the one thing i don't like about itunes is that it lists albums alphabetically, when i would like them listed in the order they were released.

 

and there's gotta be a better way of dealing with multiple disc albums

 

i wanted that too, so i sorted it by album year. seems to work well enough.

 

sort by release date. All the songs on one album should have the same release date, or does it automatically split it up into every individual song"?

 

is that by artist and then year?

 

well, i have no idea how that's going to work yet. so far i only have floyd in there.

but i have a feeling that iTunes can't sort by more than one field at a time. you choose one, and it auto sorts the rest, which sucks.

artist, release date would be nice.

 

exactly my gripe. i want artist, then release date. but even that would be flawed if they release 2 different albums in the same year (i.e. an EP and then an LP). :dunno:
