Anybody have the old shuffle that can confirm that you can charge AND play simultaneously?

That's what I thought, but I need a splitter that has three stripes on the input jack and is wired the same for the two female ends. Two are for the audio and one is for the power / data. I looked all over Radio Shack's website today and I'm not even 100% sure that would work. That's actually the first thing I went looking for.

you can use a usb to wall charger
h:or hack the wire and cut the data +/- wires.
and no you cant use a splitter.

It's not a USB splitter... and yes, I know you can use a USB wall charger. It's not a matter of HOW you charge the device, but if you can charge and playback simultaneously.
