Actually one of our guys talked to someone at the CHP headquarters...they said that 2 guys either stole or carjacked a car, ran from the cops, got off the freeway and ditched the car...then ran onto the course.

So...the guy stole a car, ran from the cops. He got off the freeway, turned onto a private road for the ranch that is next to the golf course...crashed into a cattle pen and got the car stuck on a pipe. So, he ditched the car and took off on foot, right on the property line between the ranch and golf course. The cops found him up in a tree, and he wouldn't come down.

They finally got him to come down to the lowest branch to get some water, and when he did they pulled him out of the tree, then sprayed him with pepper spray. He tried to run and got out of a cop's grasp, and one of the other officers hit him with a tazer gun. After they put the handcuffs on him, they had to put him under the barbed wire fence surrounding the course in order to put him in the car...because all their cars were on the golf course. When they put him under, he shimmied out of their reach and took off again. They released the dog on him, and the dog tackled him at full speed, face first, on a dirt road. :chuckles:
