something i've always wondered...
why are hatchback's considered doors? like when some websites classify integra's as 3 door coupes. :dunno:
|
I'm had to climb into my hatch a few times so I would consider it a door...
|
Because the entire hatch lifts up, with the rear window? vs. a trunk lid.
I don't have an answer for you, but it makes sense to me. |
I bet it's the product of some arcane bureaucratic decison made by the Dept of Transportation ages ago.
|
Probably something stupid like they couldn't use "2door" because some software would only recognize "2door" as a coupe and a hatchback is a good bit different. So they had to come up with something new.
|
good question, always pisses me off when i see that shit, don't make sense to me either, how the hell am i gonna enter through the hatch WTF, my car only has 2 doors and thats it. :oh:
|
you'll know why they call it a door when your door handles freeze, or you break the locks for some reason.

I bet it goes along with how many cc's it takes to require a motorcycle license....etc. |

:uhhok: :hugglez: |
So that by calling it something with an odd number of doors, you know it's a hatch.
