Default Why I hate the time change

It is now 6:41 pm here and I am cleaning the house and craving a pot of coffee.

My body really wants it, but for some reason my mind is saying not to because it is dark and I should be winding down. It has been dark here since almost 4pm or so

Yea living up North when its dark is horrible.

I actually fell into a depression one winter, not SOLEY because of it. But I bet it didnt help. I had a night job, so i'd go to bed at 6 - 7 am when the sun was rising, then wake up at 4pm when its almost completly dark already. Bad times.

ahhh canada and our lack of sunshine.

There is an actual medical condition that people get because of lack of Vitamin C and Sunlight. It can cause depression amongst other things.

Probably has to do with the coffee thread we've been slowly posting in all damn night. I made some after my second post in there. Winding down now...

Yes indeed.

Its actually been found that in the winter, people are generally better off in Toronto. The reason has to do with their geographic positions. Montreal is in the Eastern part of the time zone, and Toronto is in the Western. So they see the sun rise earlier... even though its the same time.

I forget exactly how to descibe it, but it works.

I'm from the west coast (Vancouver) and when you wake up its pretty much dark and when you get home its dark, so the only time you really see any daylight is if you go outside during the day or on weekends.
