Default This Wisconsin governor's race is getting out of hand

Apparently this is a close race, so much so that on all the networks at least half of all the commercials on are governor campaign ads. Mostly negative ads. There's so many of them, that they're running back-to-back for one guy right after the other.

I thought I could avoid it by sticking to cable, but Charter sells advertising where they interrupt the network feed for local ad spots, and the governor candidates bought all that time too.

It almost makes me not want to vote, but then again the only thing I hate more than excessive campaign advertising, is republican candidates winning elections. h:

Geez, now it was just an ad for congresswoman Tammy Baldwin, followed directly by an ad for senator Herb Kohl.

Tammy Baldwin is a lesbian democrat, and this idiot Dave Magnum is the best the republicans could come up with. He's a former local radio DJ who somehow managed to end up owning a bunch of radio stations, and fer chrissakes he legally changed his last name from Weiss to Magnum.

Herb Kohl (the Kohl in the Kohl's stores) has so much of a lead I actually had to look him up on wikipedia just to find out who's running against him. The republican guy is some dude Robert Lorge who I've never seen one ad for, but I have seen some random anti-Kohl ads so I guess he's behind em. Conveniently enough for Kohl, since his opponent's campaign isn't even bothering to mention said opponent by name, Kohl has yet to run a single negative ad.

Nah a buddy of mine is a libertarian, I tried talking about something remotely political with him once, that didn't turn out so well. Plus, third parties are for delusional idealists. h:

this election cycle makes me want to become a communist.

it has nothing to do with dems or republicans...they're both horrible this year. And classy guys like Rick Santorum in PA running upbeat ads about themselves are losing. Retarded.

Agreed. Very few of them seem to be 'good guys' anymore. Just power hungry elitists.

The reason Santorum is losing is because he's wrapped up in some money controversies and has made some really stupid statements regarding homosexuality:

In every society, the definition of marriage has not ever to my knowledge included homosexuality. That's not to pick on homosexuality. It's not, you know, man on child, man on dog, or whatever the case may be. It is one thing. And when you destroy that you have a dramatic impact on the quality".
Dunno... I don't like Casey's views _too_ much, but when contrasted to Santorum, it's a no brainer why people would choose him.

Why is that necessarily stupid? I happen to agree with him. At least he has REAL beliefs and REAL opinions unlike most of the other douche bags who are too afraid to take a stance on anything.
