Default how do you go about selling a computer?

how do you make sure youre able to sell your computer to someone else in the best condition as possible?

how do i make sure that i erase everything ive installed and reset the comp to its original settings? is this what reformatting does? and does this get rid of possibly lurking viruses or crap thats accumlated over the months? i want it to work as fast as it did when i first got it

depending on age of said computer anything of a p3 or older you pretty much can't sell for shit. Its best to either give them away or recycle them.

In regards to the hdd get a free program that wipes the hard drive with 1s and 0s. It will stop people like myself who get old hdds and recover old interesting data

its a rather beast Dell compy. bought it i think in july of this past year. i was considering gaming a lot, but realized i dont have the time, money, or desire to do so anymore. its got a dual-core processor and 2gb of ram among other things, so its definitely not a piece of crap. unless you want to argue Dells as being pieces of crap

does this program that wipes out hds take out unknown bugs and viruses?
