Progressive, thats who I have now. How old are you? is your record clean?

It doesn't matter now, I got an old bike instead. All my bike money went into the teg, ill try and get a newer bike when I am older and insurance is cheaper.

2000 YZF600R
Pros: It's comfy, fuel efficient, has a fully adjustable suspension front and rear, and has been around for a while.
Cons: It's heavier and lacks the bling factor of the newer supersports.

My pig of a bike. Had to use a rock on the ground since I don't have a steady hand and didn't use the flash. :hs:

Going slow around Turn 3 at Thunderhill. h:

:chuckles: I don't mind the 1pc seat on the current F4i either. In case anyone's wondering, one reason the 2 piece seats don't have to be super comfortable is because you're not supposed to really be on them that much anyway. You're supposed to be on the pegs moving around and all that.

I think my insurance is ~$300 /year for liability, but 100/300/50. (a 2005 gixxer 600 would have been over $600 for the same insurance for me)

i don't have a bike yet and have never ridden but I'm considering getting one in the spring. I'm looking at something that's not an all-out crotch-rocket but instead has more of an upright seating position and is somewhat easy to learn to ride on. I'm a big fan of look the SV650's:

Any other suggestions for a similar type of bike?

I just don't like the looks of the Suzuki SV's. Only the new GSX-R

the sv650 is an excellent first bike, has enough low end torque so you wont have to rev it up to get power. 2 of my friends got sv650's as their first bikes (1 650, 1 650s) and the one with the 650 sold it and got a 650s. i honestly wished i knew about the 650s before i got my first bike, i would have bought one instead of learning on the yzf600r.
