Take screwdriver in one hand and hammer in other.
Place screwdriver against side of filter.
Nail the handle end of screwdriver like it owes you money driving it into the filter.
Twist screwdriver breaking loose oil filter.

Make sure you have the oil pan under you when you do this because it is gonna bleed like a stuck pig...nitryl gloves are also a plus.

lack of proper tools, especially when they are general tools that come in pretty much every tool kit, is not an excuse to complain about doing regular maintaince.

The hard part of changing my oil is you have to have a wrench that only holds on to the end of the filter like this. I wish my filters had that little bolt head on the end.
