sounds almost too good to be true....
my dad's health has been declining for the past 4-5 months. he's been in the hospital for various things 4-5 times in that time span. he's actually gotten much better now though i dont trust him to drive very long distances. at that time, he went to apply for in home supportive services from the DHHS with me listed as the provider. a social worker came out a few weeks after that and interviewed me and my parents. couple of weeks later we got a letter saying we were denied for services cause my dad wasnt 'sick' enough. :eh: apparently my dad appealed this ruling and eventually was approved.
now today i get a packet from the DHHS containing timesheets, payroll info, and other stuff. looks like i'll be making $10/hr taking care of my dad. not bad. by taking care of my dad i mean driving him to doctor's appointments, and where ever else he needs to go. which is pretty much what i've been doing the past 2 months, just now i'll be getting paid.
