Default fantasy football crew : should i make this trade?

WR Reggie Wayne (i have him) for RB Jamal Lewis.

i'm in fairly desperate need of a running back. i have d jackson, chad johnson, and bryant johnson at WR right now (3 WR league) and fred taylor, michael turner, and cedric benson at RB (2 RBs start).

help me out here.

Wayne is a damn sure bet to at least put up above-average numbers every week. Jamal Lewis hasn't done much of anything this year, and he's on a bye this week so that doesn't exactly help you. I wouldn't give up Wayne in general, for several reasons.

Bryant Johnson may only give you 1 good week assuming Larry Fitzgerald comes back after the bye, I wouldn't want to have him as a regular starter.

Baskett will have some good games just because McNabb is the best fantasy player in the league at the moment, but he also has shown that he drops the ball and isn't the greatest at beating coverage. Hit or miss at best.

Parker might be a good pickup in a PPR league assuming he continues to get targeted as much as he has been in the games since the bye.

What WRs and RBs are available without trades? Marion Barber and Brandon Jacobs might be decent for you since they're both getting a fair amount of goal-line touches.

wayne hasn't done a whole lot either.

top ten (by fantasy points) available WRs:
C. Henry (Cin - WR) - NA
D. Carter (Car - WR)
Mi. Robinson (SF - WR,RB)
Tr. Brown (NE - WR)
T. Carter (NYG - WR)
B. Engram (Sea - WR) - O
J. Reed (Buf - WR)
M. Floyd (SD - WR)
V. Jackson (SD - WR)
E. Parker (SD - WR)

RBs (by fantasy points)
Mi. Robinson (SF - WR,RB)
D. Williams (Car - RB) - D
A. Peterson (Chi - RB)
M. Hicks (SF - RB)
M. Anderson (Bal - RB)
M. Strong (Sea - RB)
A. Thomas (Buf - RB)
C. Cramer (Ten - RB,TE)
R. Cartwright (Was - RB)
C. Houston (NYJ - RB) - Q

14 team league, huge roster, so it's sparse.

Well with 14 teams, 20 yards per point, and no points per reception, your leage just sucks.

In that type of league I would try to get Marion Barber waaaay before Jamal Lewis.

Also keep an eye on Noah Herron, he did real solid filling in for Ahman Green and may continue to get touches, but I wouldn't make a move for him just yet.

not worth the trade. Dont do it. Jamal Lewis will probably be losing most of his touches by the end of the season. He just isnt the player he was several years ago and doesnt look like he is going to get back there
