what does muffled and unmuffled mean?

what does muffled and unmuffled mean?
I want to go to my local track and Im looking at the schedule and on some of the days it says muffled and unmuffled cars. Does it mean how it sounds?

muffled = with muffler
unmuffled = without muffler
