All Preludes were built in Japan to US spec.
OK, here are the three places that your Lude could have been assembled: Suzuka, Japan; Sayama, Japan; and Tochigi, Japan.
Read the manual of the car might help you out a little..
Or you can try to decode your VIN..
For example, in a 5th Gen...
JHM BB6 a b c d C 123456 stands for
JHM = Japan Honda Motor Company
BB6 = Chasis name
a = Tranny. Either 1/2, 1=stick, 2=auto
b = Trim. Either 4/5, 4=base, 5=SH
c = random check digit
d = Year. Either V/W/X/Y/1, 97/98/99/00/01
C = Plant. Sayama, Japan
123456 = serial number
