Default MOtherboard question

Well my friend fried his computer.
So I figure i would let him use my spare pc for the time being.
Moron decides to installl the memory from his fried pc into mine.

Next thing you know I get a phone call that the pc smells funny. I told him to un-do whatever he did. Pc boots up now but, when its done registering the memory it doesnt even boot. It doesnt search for any bootable drivers ...nothing!
Just sits there with what memory I have.

Could he of fried my motherboard?
If so, imma strangle him. I paid close to 200 bucks for this board when it came out.

i hope they offer a lifetime warranty cause thats the pc i was going to hook up to my surround sound too. =(

He just might have fried it. You could try some new memory modules first before buying a new board but chances are it's toast.
