You can find certified helmets for cheap. I got mine for around $100.

yeah i bought mine for 56 dollars shipped snell m2000 and DOT approved from www.denniskirk.com under the metric helmet section.

since i dont own a motorcycle and only intend to use it for auto-x/go carting/potential 13.99 and faster qtr mile runs, i dont need a fancy shmancy helmet

llama: You would  I never said my car was fast. It's bone stock, the power steering gives up when stressed, has 230k miles and is best in a straight line at 75MPH
Some street tires I've seen go up to 50 psi front. Just have to prevent roll over of the tires which is bad for the bead of the tire Did you try marking the shoulders of the tires with some chalk or shoe polish? That usually helps some.

FWD are one of the easier cars to drive fast personally. If you oversteer you just stay on the gas and point the car where you want it. With RWD you have to counter-steer and once you are past a point there's no going back

Yeah I'm not worried about my tires since I need new ones for winter anyway.

My tires rolled over horribly a few times - the car was skidding sideways. So putting some 'lubricant' on the shoulders will allow the tire to break loose instead of 'skidding' like it was?

Very true, but I was in a couple RWD cars and holy hell they were fun...lap time be damned, when that ass end kicked out it was all giggles :reechy:

It's not lube you silly. It shows how far the tires are rolling over if the shoe polish scrubs off. If it does you need to add more air.

Well I can already tell how far it's rolled over by how chewed up the sidewall is, and no amount of air pressure will fix it :happysad:
