You can find certified helmets for cheap. I got mine for around $100.

Thanks
I had the fronts at 43 and the rears at 40. Once I got the trick to FWD and heavy understeer (dealing with it and rotating the car instead of constantly fighting it) I was able to get by pretty well. In a couple tight corners I learned to hit a good line at a good speed and rotated well, but on one sweeping corner before the slalom I never got the hang of it and just plowed like crazy because I was always too fast into it and too tight into the apex :happysad:
It was free
Put on by my college's car club.
llama: You would  I never said my car was fast. It's bone stock, the power steering gives up when stressed, has 230k miles and is best in a straight line at 75MPH

Did you try marking the shoulders of the tires with some chalk or shoe polish? That usually helps some.FWD are one of the easier cars to drive fast personally. If you oversteer you just stay on the gas and point the car where you want it. With RWD you have to counter-steer and once you are past a point there's no going back

My tires rolled over horribly a few times - the car was skidding sideways. So putting some 'lubricant' on the shoulders will allow the tire to break loose instead of 'skidding' like it was?

Yeah I'm not worried about my tires since I need new ones for winter anyway.

Very true, but I was in a couple RWD cars and holy hell they were fun...lap time be damned, when that ass end kicked out it was all giggles :reechy:

Well I can already tell how far it's rolled over by how chewed up the sidewall is, and no amount of air pressure will fix it :happysad:
