mynameiswillandthisismywebsite.com is about to expire soon. I dont want to renew or anything. I will probably wait for a new deal from dreamhost. But in the mean time, I want to take everything off of my website and onto my computer. I uploaded a lot of pictures and stuff like that. What is the easiest way for me to do it?

FTP would be the easiest.

 

Theres a plugin for FF called DownThemAll.
It will download whatever is on a page.
I dunno if that helps at all.

 

So I guess just use an FTP prog and drag the folders onto my desktop?

FTP is super easy...just take the folders and drag them to your hard drive :wiggle:

 

scp > ftp

if the host allows ssh connections then you can use scp

 

Thats like a whole new language. Is it worth my time trying to find out what that is? h:

 

just have your ftp program download the root folder and subfolders and go to bed

 

not worth the time just to back up a personal site in my opinion.

 

Use the FTP function on IE.
