To me it makes them sound ignorant and degrading.

Shortly after the attack, men, women and girls in traditional Amish clothing gathered in small groups outside the country schoolhouse along a dirt road. Horse-drawn carriages could be seen in a nearby parking lot.

Almost making fun of them.
That's just my take..



One school shooting gives other people capable of shootings courage to do the same so they're coming out of the woodwork.

yea, they're just describing the scene.. traditional amish garb and horse drawn carriages are just a little out of the ordinary for mainstream america

Of course if it happens, it will be reported. It really is a tragedy. What the hell is going through people's heads? They should allow certain teachers to carry firearms, seriously. I know it sounds a little extreme, but if this is becoming an epidemic than we need a solution. Armed school staff would be a deterrant.
