93hondablk, use your "Recovery CD" or "Restore CD", whatever your maker called it. Stick it in the cd drive and reboot. Follow the instructions, it'll wipe out the pc and erase everything. But it will accomplish what you ask.
What if I don't have the cd? This isn't my computer, its my moms but it drives me crazy everytime I use it and I just want to fix it. So is their another way without the cds?

you would need a copy of the windows 98 or XP cd to start clean.

Might want to check with her, because doing that will erase the whole thing. No files or favorites or bookmarks or email, stuff like that will all be gone.

You'll need a cd. Either the restore cd or an XP cd. Either way you'll need to... aquire.... a cd of some kind.

What's the make and model? Most modern pc mfgr's have instructions on their website on how to do it.

I 'm just running a scan instead and see if that does anything then. Its too late to be doing this crap.

spybot search and destroy is a good app to remove spyware

I'm using Norton AntiVirus right now. So far one virus detected.
