My timing belt just broke
On the MR2. The previous owner told me he replaced it, but I guess not. Luckily the 3S-GTE is a non-interference motor. It just died while cruising down a road, I coasted off to a side street and parked. Free-flywheel spin starts ftl
It's gonna be a huuuuuuuuuuuge pain in the ass to drop the motor to change the belt. However, a good opportunity to do some preventative maintanence on other MR2-specific issues that come with age.

I took a look at mine yesterday, looks nice and new. Especially since I changed it two years ago and maybe 15k miles. Recommended service interval is 3years/30k miles.
