"I paid for it"
We've all heard it before. The 17 year old kid driving the $30k sports car who claims that his parents did not buy the car for him. Well, I've consulted the experts and they agree that this is false. Here's why: Most young kids work hard and make decent money. The difference between the ones who drive cars that make our parens jealous and the ones who drive $500 beaters is not the job or the income. In the end it still comes down to the parents. The parents pay all the bills for little johnny, and he literally has nothing left to spend it on than a car payment. Realisticly, a McDonald's job can bring home enough money to make the car payment on a new Mercedes, assuming you have no other bills. When mommy and daddy pay for absolutely everything else, sure, buy that $30k sportscar and tell all your friends that you paid for it. Your peers must then respect you becuase you obviously work harder than them. Discuss.

Its true.
I know someone who goes on across the world vacations twice a year and can do cruises and shit.
What that person doesnt realise when they ask me why I cant go with them, is that I am Independant. My parents dont pay my rent, school, bills, and car... and my job money goes into that. Not the bank.
That changed between me and that person over the last year, and they are now paying their rent. That person also used to have appx 9grand in the savings account that their parents didnt know about... and then ask for monthly food money and shit.
CRAZY!

One thing I failed to mention is that people only care about this scenario when the kid is a dick. Life deals everyone a hand of cards, bad or good. That's life. It just pisses me off when kids are douchebags about it. I have plenty of wealthy friends whose parents support them very well. They don't bother me one bit. It's the kids who flaunt it and then say that they paid for it that irks me. They shouldn't take credit for something they didn't do.
