Local car club is doing a early run to Palomar/Julian on Sunday morning. I am thinking of tagging along. Not on 2 wheels, but on four.

Any local SD peeps did that route? Is it good/bad/boring?

Always up for a nice drive....this is the only one I have found so far. I know about the friday night drags at Qualcomm, but don't have interest in that anymore (spent many years at LACR and done with that part of life).

 

great area... and great roads. weather will be really nice as well.

that was up near mt. palomar.. lake henshaw

the roads up near julian, depending on where you go are completely dead. bring a camera if anything.

I've driven like halfway up Palomar, but that's because I got lost and made a left instead of a right. Julian sounds fun though.

 

Don't speed/race/drive crazy...cops are always out there, and helicopters.
