I just came back from the OPD/BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION UNIT.

OPD= Oakland Police Department.

I go in for the finger print thing Tuesday .. Then start the following monday.

Im a Automotive Equipment Service Worker now...

Automotive Equipment is the police car's... I assign them to the cops and keep track of the car's, If a car doesnt show up by the end of the cop's shift i have to report it.

Believe it or not, But the city (oakland) was having a problem with the cop's stealing the car's... They would go missing for week's on end until returned... So they hired 4 people (including me) to keep them in check

$22 a hour for 3 months, Then $28 a hour after that... Im 18 BTW and this is my first actual job.

Wooot!! Wooot!! Time to celebrate.

Congrats. Yeah OPD like the police in Rampart are nothing but crooks. Spent enough time in SF to know the OAK police well, sadly.

 

Dude...thats gotta be like the coolest job...except when you then have to deal with the police officers...
