dood. i understand a beater is a beater...but you're considering some pretty fucked up junks for beaters. a beater is something that gets you around day to day, so you can "preserve/save/prolong" the life of the better second car... but with the shits you're seeming to consider, youre gonna be busy going around day to day to get shit fixed and looking like white trash while doing it.

and if you cant afford a legitimate beater car... then dont buy one. no one is gonna be impressed with the fact that you have a junk car and a junkier car in stead of just one junk car.

All the hondas I've driven in the snow handled better than anything else I'd driven in the snow. Hell, my 96' Accord was able to get thru the snow easier than my neighbor's p.o.s. Rodeo. He wasn't able to make it up the hill and had to park at the bottom.. pretty funny considering its a 4x4.
