Default Protein Bars...

Not talking about powdered protein shakes, but protein Bars in particular. Anybody eat them? I notice the Cliff bars seem to be the highest protein 20g and lowest relative carb at 30grams.

I read something that said you need to multiply 15 by your body weight that figures how much calories you need. It seems I need about 2000 calories a day, and seem to have a hard time reaching that, thus doing the Protein Bars.

Opinions/thoughts? Too much sugar on them?

Ehh, most are crap. Avoid ANY protein bar that has ingredients like "Hydrolized gelatin", cause that stuff is basically useless for your body.

Cliff builder bars also have high saturated fat.

If I'm gonna eat a protein bar, it's either the Powerbar protein or the MetRX Big 100. I only use them as breakfast or snacks at work. Otherwise, I go with whey protein or a real meal.

5g or 25% in cliff bars.

I need to learn more about saturated fat..and how much intake is too much..or get foods that are low in them.

i recall myoplex deluxe ranging from 25-30g each depending on flavor. but they tasted awful.

i got tired of them fast and had to switch to the lite bars, which go down much easier.
