if you reduce file size what are you getting rid of?

 

i believe your just reducing the dpi of the file, i have to decrease alot of my pdfs i create in photoshop and indesign in order to post them on the web for my stores to recieve, and i only notice decreases in quality

File > Reduce File Size. This command will resample and recompress images, compress the document structure and clean up elements such as duplicate background images or invalid bookmarks. If the file size is already as small as possible, this command has no effect.

 

i dont know bout that gibberish but i do know that my files go from 7 or 8 megs to 1.2 in 30 seconds

 

Hey, that's what the creators of the software advertise it does. None of my input in that post. :shrug:
