well, I finally had time to go pick her up today. I got her home and she is in surprisingly good shape. I need to put a new valve cover gasket on, and a new thermostat but other than that the car is surprisingly strong still. I cant wait to see how this car will handle the snow with the Hek's on it.
It costs more to register the car and get plates than the car.
87accord $250, plate transfer fee $8, title transfer $25.....being able to pull the motor on the sooby and start building the shit out of it.....priceless.
i dont know how i feel about that.... i gues its cool to get a junker car you can beat up.... but do you sell it after winter?
seems like alot of money, but i gues you have to do it?
well the clutch blew on the subaru, and since I am pulling the motor in a month or so I didnt want to drop the trans/etc put in a new clutch...then a month later pull the entire thing apart again. In the spring I will donate the car for way more than it is worth, and take it as a tax write-off.
It made its first highway journey today, and holy carp the cruise control still works. I found out I have a torn CV boot, and the front left caliper doesnt like to return on its own so I will go drop 90 bucks and get a new caliper and a half shaft and she is good to go.
