Dude, have you checked with Cablevision? I put the zip code for Bayport into their site and it says you have several choices for service including cable modem and their version of Verizon FiOS which they call Optimum Online.

Yes I can have Optimum in my new place in Holbrook but from what I remember I was told by them that I would need there phone service also because it's goes through there router.

you can get optimum alone, but it'll cost you full price... around 55 bucks.

you can get net + tv, or net + voip, or tv + net + voip for 29.99 each
