Some bar codes will register at other stores. I recall returning several items that were from Target to Walmart - Vice versa

Well also, you can just say the DS doesn't read the games anymore and they will give you your money back as long as the games and everything are there

 

the US is only getting the White one. they haven't said anything about other colors, and I don't even know if japan will get them at launch. they're more interested in getting units out there than having multiple colors available

 

That's why I'm waiting. I got the white DS when it came out and now I wish I waited
