Default I survived

A trip down the river

Good times with only one rollover (for myself) which resulted in me having to swim

Went to go turn back out into the current and didn't cut my edge enough and ended up going over. I was in the current trying to get back up and by the time I grabbed the instructors handle for a T Roll I had already been under for longer than expected and ended up doing a wet exit instead.

Once I got back to shore I was kind of pissed at myself for bailing but according to the others in the class they were surprised I held out for as long as I did. Even the instructor said it was kind of a nasty situation and I took the right course of action.

So it was good times and we did about 4 or 5 miles down some mild rapids and practiced our "Eddy Turns" and "Roll Outs" as well as some bracing moves and edging. Felt good to get some practical application of what I learned in the pool on Wednesday though :ccol:

Now go back and do that in a canoe...

Sounds like a lot of fun on that. Waterproof bags for camera gear.

We passed by a canoe that was flattened against a bridge pier :chuckles:
