Sucks when you're riding alone...
one of the few things good about TN.....new state law that a motorcycle can treat a red light as a stop sign if the light doesn't change. only have to wait like 30 seconds to make sure it's not gonna cycle, then if it's clear, you can go
Until you hit crosstraffic and none going your way.
Funny thing.. I spoke to Mar's uncle (CHP rider) and he says if you tilt the bike, there are sensors that pickup the amount of metal in the bike to trigger the light.
He said that the sensors aren't weight activated as they are metal detectors. They detect the motors of cars hovering above the sensors. That's why you can miss a sensor by having the rear of the car over it instead of the front of your car.
But this could all be bullshit as well.. I'd be curious to know. Try it and let me know. Just don't drop your bike.!!!

Yeah those are magnetic sensing. People with big tires on lifted trucks have the same issue especially if they run aluminum rims, not enough metal to trigger the sensor.

There are a million and one of those things for sale. They're just magnets with some method of attachment.
Here's one:

And you might find this worthwhile:

Why? :happysad: There usually isn't a car around for miles.
I run them too after waiting too long. I've also tried rolling back and forth, sticking a harddrive magnet on the kickstand, and thumbing the starter. Most of the time, you'll still end up having to run it.
