Burning man is where smart people with too much money and time go. I'm serious when I say I saw a 5'6" robot that was being escorted by a scientist that was obviously not just a suit with someone hidden inside. It appeared to be a sentient and surly robot who, while I was watching it, was trying to convince a woman to have a threeway with him, her, and her bicycle.
Probably one of the best things I ever saw.
there was also a giant flaming serpent that you can control the flames on, Dance Dance Immolation, interactive games made of lights on the playa... lots of cool geek expressional art.
