Yeah he has been working on this one for about 4 years now. the problem with Continentals of this design though is parts are hard to come by for a fair price. Lots of rust issues and many of the "simple parts" like hoods and trunks are one year only parts. Makes it tough to make a lot of progress on when you have a budget.

That's what's stopping me from doing it in the future...it'd be too much hassel I think.

It's a labour of love more than anything else. I have hit a standstill on my buggy project right now and I got the itch for something else. I figure a year to lay out plans and research it, 2 years to locate parts and about 6 months to put it all together.

Only problem I have with a Merc is if I do it I would have to have a flathead motor, 3 speed tranny, and do it 100% traditional including lead filled seams etc.

*sigh* If it comes up for the right price I may be doing the Merc deal.
