Default Network Sharing v.Programs

I'm trying to find a new program to share my folders on the network. The Windows sharing doesn't have alot of features, even in advanced mode. I'd like to be able to password protect certain folders and turning on and off sharing easily. Any good programs out there for sharing?

I want to be able to set a password on just certain share folders and the ability to turn on and off sharing easily. Windows Sharing does not do that, to my knowledge.

xp's non-simple file sharing does that... but its tricky to setup.

how about running a web server with an index of files?
