agreed but you shouldnt beat the hell out of them to the point that they fear you coming home or what not, there is discipline and there is child abuse few dont know which is which

Exactly. My parents never held back on the punishment if I misbehaved. It was pretty bad, but never left any marks (long term).

All it did was make me think about it the next time I was about to do something wrong. And I wouldnt do it again.

+1 child abuse sucks... you get what you give... when that kid grows up his resentment is going to explode and he is going to hurt/kill his parents and maybe others...
