Default question for mac users

just wondering, does hiding a program actually does anything with processing? or is it just hiding so you dont see it? i got like 5 programs open and one of them is iTunes, would it help with the processing power if i hide iTunes?
I don't think it does :/

i havent used newer macs... but i doubt it would make a noticable difference. In regards to iTunes.... it jumps to 100% cpu when changing songs.... even when it is minimized.

The people who made SoundJam back in the day made iTunes. It's not a huge processor hog like it used to be. I'm on a dual 867 w/ a gig 1/2 of ram. CS2/Bridge/mail/Yahoo/MSN messenger/Safari all open, and while color correcting w/ 10 images at a time open to 9.01mb, I'm smooth sailin'
