The "Ozone Guard" is just like a catalytic converter. It converts bad to not so bad or even good. In this case it converts Ozone to Oxygen.
Breathing too much Ozone can be bad.

ionic breezes don't do jack. and yea, ozone can be bad for your lungs, especially if you have three in one room
consumer reports released reports saying the ionic breeze was ineffective as an air purifier. sharper image then sued them, but the case was thrown out because sharper image basically couldn't refute anything consumer reports said.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7391185/
then the whole ozone issue came into light:

for those that still think ionic breezes work and are worth the ridiculous retail price, please read this:

One study was deemed irrelevant by Consumers Union because the Ionic Breeze was used as a particle collector, not as an air-cleaning device. To put that difference into perspective, you can collect the dust particles that settle out of the air and onto a tabletop in a room, but that doesn't make the table an air cleaner.

That thing probably creates more pollution than it gets rid of just because of the natural resources that are used to generate the electicity needed to power it.

They only work if air is moving, if there's no air moving (ex: fan) it does NOTHING. Place a balloon above one of the stick-style units and watch it fall to the floor. There’s virtually no air movement at all. That's why they're listed as ineffective by the majority of consumers.
Now what does work is the Oreck XL Professional Air Purifier.
"The Oreck XL Professional Air Purifier completely regenerates the air in a 30'x 30' room every hour. The unit incorporates a powerful fan that moves the air to scrub it clean. Oreck knows full well that you cannot clean the air unless you move the air just as well as agitation is vital to cleaning carpeting. The Oreck XL Professional Air Purifier will also capture and destroy bacteria, mold, viruses, and fungi, as well as remove pet hair, pet dander, dust mites, and common household dust and allergens through a 5 stage purification process."
Pre-Filter:
Fan draws in dirty air and air filter traps large particles such as hair, lint, etc.
Positive Ion Generator:
Electricity is used to positively charge small particles such as dust, smoke and pollen.
Collector:
A series of alternately charged collection plates attract and lock in dirt particles like a powerful magnet.
Charcoal Odor Absorbers:
Activated charcoal absorbs common household odors. (replace periodically).
Negative Ion Generator:
Emits negative ions which help to freshen stale air.
Clean, pure air is then returned back into the room.
Just a little knowledge for you guys today, btw i have one lolh:
