The MR gets more, however. Immediately visible at the trailing edge of the roof is a patch of carbon fiber from which sprout a series of small fins. This is the vortex generator, and it reduces aerodynamic drag and increases the downforce generated by the huge carbon fiber rear wing.

the new sti has sort of a spoiler where the fins are... however those fins actually proved to improve track time....

yeah, they're actually functional. You can buy them separately at the dealership too.
